Communications Leader Adds Sonja Thompson to San Francisco Team;
Grows Alliances and Client Roster in Silicon Valley
San Francisco, Boston and Richmond, Va. – April 4, 2022 – Wireside Communications, an award-winning independent strategic communications, marketing and public relations agency focused on the consumer and B2B tech sectors, today announced that Sonja Thompson has joined the company’s West Coast team as an Account Director. Thompson’s hire is the latest in the company’s moves to expand its footprint in San Francisco and Silicon Valley; Wireside recently established working relationships with two firms in the area, Orange Tulip Consultancy and Nichols Communications, providing additional business development capabilities in the region. Wireside continues to grow its West Coast client roster, where it works with marquee tech brands including Infineon and NTT Research.

Thompson is a communications veteran with extensive experience in content strategy and management, including creative development for podcasts, videos and written materials; social media management; and community and influencer programs. Prior to joining Wireside, Thompson held public relations, communications and editorial positions with leading brands including Cheetah Mobile, CBS Interactive, CNET and TechRepublic. Thompson will head up Wireside’s West Coast team, working on existing accounts and helping to build new business for the growing firm.
